ARCHIVE OF ROT
2026
Upcoming installation of mixed media, including photo collage of inkjet prints on tracing paper and video projection. To be exhibited as part of American Bacchanal at Dalston Den in London, 13th-15th February, 2026. The above images are a only sample of those to be included in the final installation.
Archive of Rot, an externalisation of the internet-addled mind (read: brain rot), confronts American excess in its latest form: compulsive overstimulation. Layered prints, functioning as a catalog of disjointed memory, are drowned out by intermittent projections reminiscent of a fresh hit of content. Abstract thought is burned through with a digital afterimage, unpleasant realities varnished with nostalgia.
The viewer is invited to sift through the archive between projections, uncovering iterations of decay. This act, followed by the projection’s return, performs the cycle of compulsive overstimulation: the mind grasps for clarity only to recoil at discomfort, dousing itself with distraction to bury the rot. The fix, however, is temporary. The rot will resurface, just as the prints will deteriorate over the course of the exhibition through touch.
